VDB Home
The Dashboard snap-in in the Virtual Servers tab shows an "At a glance" overview of your Virtual Server's resource usage, and basic information such as IP Address, name, and power status.
The CPU, memory, swap and disk usage gauges represent real-time utilization percentages, while the bandwidth gauge keeps track of the amount of bandwidth that has been used over a given month's allotment.
The "Login Information" section can be expanded to reveal instructions for accessing your Virtual Server via SSH.

Remote Reboot: Out of band power control
All Virtual Servers can be manually powered off, and powered on with our out of band (OOB) Power snap-in.
The Power snap-in also displays the real-time power status of the Virtual Server for monitoring purposes.

Self-Service ZFS Snapshots
Using our out of band (OOB) Snapshots snap-in, the entire disk of a Virtual Server can be instantly frozen in time. Once a snapshot has been created, it can either be discarded, or the Virtual Server can be rolled back to the precise state at the time that the snapshot was taken.
ZFS Snapshots provide a safe "back-out" plan before extensive system upgrades, and can be invaluable for learning about Solaris internals, providing a "known-good" state that can be reverted to.

Historical Statistics and Resource Usage
Get the big picture of your Virtual Server's resource usage with the Historical Statistics tab.
Reviewing historical usage graphs of a Virtual Server's CPU, memory, swap, and disk usage can help identify trends, and determine if you may experience better performance with a resource upgrade.

Real-Time Bandwidth Graphing
The Bandwidth Usage tab provides up-to-the-hour information on your Virtual Server's bandwidth usage.
By utilizing our proprietary NetFlow collector and statistics software, we are able to provide byte-level accuracy for the amount of bandwidth that your Virtual Server has sent and received, capturing changes that regular "5 minute SNMP Sampling" would miss.
